HOPE IN ACTION

America tang

America Tang started the Lending Hope Foundation on May 9, 2011.
The charity foundation was created because she couldn’t ignore the reality that so many small rural villages lack access to the most basic necessities—clean water, reliable food sources, healthcare, education, and safe shelter. She realized that for many of these communities, being remote often means being forgotten. That never sat right with her.
America believes that everyone deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to thrive, no matter where they are born. When she saw how hard families in these villages work just to survive—often without infrastructure or consistent support—America felt a responsibility to do something meaningful and lasting.
Creating this foundation was her way of turning compassion into action. She didn’t want to offer temporary relief; she wanted to help build sustainable solutions that empower communities for the long term. This foundation reflects her commitment to equity, service, and creating real change where it’s needed most. With her devotion she has helped many people in small villages from Nepal and Peru. Showcased in this section are some examples of how her generosity has positively impacted the lives of many in these regions.
