Lending Hope Foundation started on May 9, 2011. After over a decade and a half of promoting different projects, helping families and individuals in their times of need, we have realized that a charity program is only as good as the honesty and transparency of the people who run it.

Lending Hope Foundation has helped hundreds of families through their hardest times of hardship. We are currently working in two countries: Peru and Nepal.

NEPAL – Education That Changes a Lifetime

​

During the COVID-19 pandemic, while much of the world stood still, Lending Hope Foundation funded the construction of a small elementary school in the village of Besisahar, northwest of Kathmandu.

Before this school existed, young children — some as young as four — walked over two hours each way to attend classes in the nearest city. Their journey included steep mountain paths, heavy monsoon rains, and dangerous river crossings. Today, that journey is gone.

The school now serves children ages 4 to 8, providing:

• Teacher salaries

• Daily lunch meals

• School supplies and uniforms

• Ongoing maintenance

 

But the need remains urgent. Without consistent donor support, this school cannot remain open.

Beyond education, we also respond to individual needs in the village — roof repairs, wheelchairs, emergency medical expenses, food assistance, and tuition help for older students. Each month brings new requests. Each donation makes a measurable difference.

Education breaks cycles of poverty. It replaces danger with opportunity.

 

 

PERU - Restoring Dignity Through Community

 

Our work in Peru centers in Villa María del Triunfo, a district in the southeastern hills of Lima.

Many families here live in “Asentamientos Humanos” — makeshift homes built on steep hillsides, often without running water, sewage systems, or electricity. Water is carried uphill by hand. Roads become rivers of mud during the rainy season. Children often spend afternoons alone while parents work long hours to survive.

Lending Hope Foundation operates through Father Albino Mendoza and his Church, Santa Maria Reina. Father Albino has shown a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of the people in this area.

Through this partnership, Lending Hope Foundation helps support:

• Community kitchens (“Ollas Comunes”) feeding families without regular meals

• After-school programs and tutoring

• Computer and vocational classes

• Safe spaces for children and women

• Expansion of facilities to serve growing needs

 

 

 

 

For the past three years, we have supplied staple foods and raw materials for more than 30 community kitchens, ensuring that families have access to daily nourishment.

This is not distant aid. It is direct, accountable partnership.
